You can actually customise your message to allow you to pick a destination, a specific bus service, time period or date. The service is automated and operates 24 hours-a-day, every day.

How do I find the bus stop reference code?

Bus stop reference codes are unique, so information received relates only to one specific bus stop. You might want to pick the stop nearest to your house, the stop you use to get to work or even the stop nearest your favourite pub/restaurant. All codes are 8 digit numbers. Codes are available in a variety of ways.

For next departures to a specific destination on a specific route*

Text the bus stop code followed by a dot, the destination village/town name, an exclamation mark and bus service number, eg 34398765.anstruther!x26

For departures after a specific time, on a specific date of the current month

Text the bus stop code followed by a question mark, the 24 hour clock time and the date, eg 34398765?170009 to 0777 608 2 608
