To allow for tram-related roadworks to take place, Shandwick Place will be closed WESTBOUND from Saturday 27th February.
The Traveline Scotland journey planner will still show services calling at Shandwick Place stops after this time. We are working to update the journey planner to show the new stopping patterns as soon as possible.
In the meantime, customers should use the following information to find alternative bus stops:
Lothian Buses/Airlink: Services normally travelling westbound along Shandwick Place towards Haymarket will be diverted to use Lothian Road, West Approach Road, Morrison Link then return to normal route. First in Scotland East: The following diversions will be in operation for services travelling westbound:
• Services 44, 44B, 44C, 66, 27, 28, X27, X28, 427,X26, X32, X33 will follow normal route to Princes Street then Lothian Road, West Approach Road, Morrison Link, Morrison Street and return to normal route at Dalry Road.
• Services 124, X5, 6, X6, X8, X13, X70 will follow normal route to Princes Street then Lothian Road, West Approach Road, Morrison Link and terminate in Morrison Link.
• Services 38, X38, X19, 44N, 10, X10, 12, 16, X12, X16, 190, 212, 216, X1, X23 & X24 will follow normal route to Princes Street then Lothian Road, West Approach Road, Morrison Link, Morrison Street and return to normal route at Haymarket Terrace.
• The above services will call at a new stop created on West Approach Road, opposite Canning Street. Please see this PDF map
• Services 129 & 43, X4 & X43 are not affected.
Scottish Citylink: Services 900, 904 and 909 will operate outbound from Edinburgh Bus Station via Princes Street, left along Lothian Road, right along West Approach Road, right along Morrison Link, then return to their normal route and stop at Haymarket Rail Station. Scottish Citylink services will also serve the temporary stop on West Approach Road opposite Canning Street (in place of stop on Atholl Crescent).

Please note: Eastbound journeys for all operators are unaffected.
To allow tram works to take place Broughton Street is closed between Bellevue and York Place for SOUTHBOUND journeys. Lothian Buses Service 8 is diverted as follows for SOUTHBOUND journeys, with northbound buses following their normal route.
From Bellevue: Between Bellevue and North St David Street, Service 8 will operate via London Street, Drummond Place, Great King Street, Dundas Street, Queen Street Gardens East and Queen Street.
Buses will serve all stops on their diversion routes.
To allow utility diversion works to take place Constitution Street is still closed between the foot of Leith Walk and Queen Charlotte Street until further notice. The diversion for Lothian Buses using Constitution Street is as follows:
Service 16: Between Commercial Street and Leith Walk, Service 16 will operate via Henderson Street and The Shore in both directions.
Service 35: Between Commercial Street and Duke Street, Service 35 will operate via Henderson Street and The Shore in both directions.
Buses will serve all stops on their diversion routes.

Since 29th Nov 2009, buses have been returning to Princes Street. New bus stop arrangements are now in place for Lothian Buses, First in Scotland East, Stagecoach Fife, Scottish Citylink and MacEwan's services. On the Traveline Scotland journey planner/timetable pages, most journeys now show the new stopping patterns.
