About NHSScotland journey planner

 

This journey planner offers public transport information for travel to health facilities across Scotland.

You can plan journeys to hospitals, GP surgeries, pharmacies, opticians and dentists.

The door-to-door journey planner will display available routes by bus, coach, (and even rail, Subway or tram over longer distances).

Your personal journey plan will be tailored to your date and time of travel.

Responsibility for the accuracy of the public transport information shown lies with Traveline Scotland. 

 

Using the journey planner:

1. Choose your destination by clicking on it's icon on the map.  Hospitals, GP surgeries and Pharmacies are shown by default.

To view dentists and opticians, simply click on the Facility Chooser.

2.  Type in a starting point - this can be a postcode, street and town, or locality.  You can also right-click on the map to choose your starting point.

3. The system will plan a public transport journey automatically for travel now.  To change the date and time of travel, use the date and time pickers shown.

4. Your journey plans are shown on screen.  Each shows tranport operator, service (including bus number), route name and direction of travel, and fares information where possible. 

5. You can also click or tap on blue text in your journey plan to view details of walking directions.

6. To print, simply click or tap on the printer icon at the bottom of the screen.

7. Start using the journey planner.
